The Greene County Historical Society begins its monthly programs later this week.
On Friday, the Historical Society invites its members and the public to RVP~1875 in Jefferson. The program will be a tour of the historical furniture shop and museum. The over 130 pieces of furniture are made with 19th Century woodworking tools. Iowa Tourism selected RVP~1875 as the state’s Outstanding Tourism Business in 2013; the Outstanding Retail Experience in 2015; and an Outstanding Tourism Attraction in 2016.
A lunch will be served prior to the program at noon for $12 and reservations must be made by Tuesday. The free program takes place at 12:45pm. Historical Society members are to contact their community representative to reserve a meal, while the public can call 515-386-4408.
