The 2024 Congressional Art Competition is now open and the deadline is towards the end of April.

According to a press release, the nationwide art contest is open to all high school students in Iowa’s Third Congressional District. The artwork may be up to 28 inches by 28 inches, up to four inches in depth, and weigh 15 pounds or less. 

Acceptable types of artwork include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer generated art, and photography. Submissions will be accepted through April 26th at 5pm. The artworks are then put out for public voting, followed by a private judge’s viewing and the winner will be announced May 8th.
