The Stuart City Council met in two special meetings Monday.

In the first meeting, the Council held a public hearing for the 2024-25 fiscal year City proposed tax levy, and had now written or verbal objections or comments. The hearing closed and the meeting adjourned. They then began the second meeting, and approved the 2024-25 fiscal year City tax levy and set a public hearing for April 8th for the city budget.

The Council then held a public hearing for the proposal to enter into an obligation insurance funding loan not to exceed $250,000, and after no comments or objections they approved the resolution for the loan agreement. They also approved a development agreement with Stuart Enterprise for Economic Development, renewed the 28E agreement with Harrison Township in Adair County, and the final plat for the Wambold Phase 3 residential development.
