The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Soccer team opened up the season on Thursday, picking up a win.
The Tigers traveled to North Polk High School to face off against the Comets, where they trailed 1-0 after the first 40 minutes. In the second half, ADM went on to score two goals, both by Senior Peyton Meier, giving the Tigers a 2-1 victory. Meier shot 50% from the field and it was Junior Goalie Owen Evans capturing three saves, stopping 75% of the shots he faced.
ADM is 1-0 on the season (1-0 in the Raccoon River Conference), while North Polk is 0-1 overall (0-1 RRC). The next game for the Comets will be at home Monday against Winterset, while ADM will be on the road again in Perry Monday night at 7pm.
