The City of Perry announces that they will start doing flower removals beginning Monday.

The City specifies that at Violet Hill Cemetery, all decorations must be contained in a vase, on the stone or on an ornamental lawn look, otherwise items are not allowed. The City will begin enforcing this on April 1st through November 15th with a few holiday exceptions. 

They note that decorations will be allowed 10 days before and seven days after Memorial Day, and for both Mother’s and Father’s Days, decorations are allowed five days prior and five days after. Any questions can be directed to Perry City Hall at (515)-465-2481.
