Easter is this weekend, and the larger communities of Guthrie County will be celebrating.

On Saturday, the Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce, along with Rose Acre Farms are sponsoring the hunt in Guthrie Center. Buckets will be available for pick up and children will be able to visit the Easter Bunny from 10-10:50am, with instructions explained at 10:55am, and the egg hunt will begin at 11am. There are five age groups, including infant to two years old, preschool, kindergarten through 1st grade, 2nd through 6th grade and special needs up to 6th grade, and the hunt will take place at Guthrie Center Elementary. If the weather is bad, it will be moved to the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School gymnasium.

The Panora Chamber of Commerce is hosting their hunt also on Saturday at the Guthrie County Historical Village, with festivities beginning at 10am. There will be plenty of goodies hidden, and children aged 11 and younger will be able to participate.

The Easter Egg Hunt in Stuart is sponsored by Rose Acre Farms, and will be held in Lawbaugh Park on Saturday.Three age groups of children will be able to try and find as many eggs as they can. There will be prizes for those that find the most in each age group, and the Stuart Chamber will have volunteers on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly. Rose Acre Farms Stuart Complex Manager Andy Kaldenberg says that thanks to a donation from Karl’s Chevrolet, there will also be a drawing for a boys and girls bicycle for each age group as well.
