The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer team found some offense, but North Polk comes out on top in last night’s matchup.

The Tigers and Comets found themselves knotted up at two goals each in the first half. North Polk took a 3-2 lead in the second half, and the while ADM was racing down the field to rally, the Tigers were called for a tripping penalty by their own net with one minute remaining in the game. The Comets had a one-on-one opportunity to seal the deal and managed to do it as they extended the score 4-2, as that would be the final score. Scoring the two goals for ADM was Junior Jada Grove and Sophomore Brenna Seidl.

North Polk improves to 2-0 overall after a dominant 10-0 win over Des Moines Lincoln (1-0 in the Raccoon River Conference) as ADM falls to 0-2 after losing to Norwalk 4-0 Monday (0-1 RRC). The next game for the Tigers will be back in Adel Monday night taking on the Perry Bluejays.
