Continued improvement for unemployment happened last month across the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County saw the largest drop from January to February of 0.4 percent to 2.1 percent unemployment. Dallas County had a 0.3 percent decline in the percentage of individuals without a job from January to February to 2.3 percent. Guthrie County went from 4.2 percent unemployment in January to four percent in February, for a 0.2 percent reduction in unemployment.

The statewide unemployment rate remained unchanged from January to February of three percent and the nationwide unemployment rate for February was 3.9 percent.
