After being weathered out of the scheduled boys’ soccer season opening match on Tuesday, the Greene County Rams start the 2024 campaign tonight at home. Coach Carl Behne’s team hosts Central Iowa United (West Marshall) at Linduska Field with the varsity contest at 6 p.m. and JV action to follow.

Coach Behne told Raccoon Valley Radio he liked what he saw from his team in a scrimmage last Saturday in Denison vs. an always competitive Denison-Schleswig program.

The Rams return first team All-State player Gesser Gutierres, one of the top goal scorers in the state in 2023, along with four-year starter in goal in Gabe Ebersole, and a number of other starters and letter winners from the past.
