The Audubon Girls’ Early Bird Track & Field Meet is on the schedule today for Coach Derek Merk’s Greene County Rams. Starting at 4:30 p.m., the meet is comprised of 16 teams, mainly from Southwest Iowa.

The coach told Raccoon Valley Radio that although the Rams have been in three indoor meets and one outdoors, this is the first opportunity to see the full team in action. “The Audubon meet is always a good opportunity to see where the girls are at in their events, as we get four individual entries for running and field events. We establish that baseline and work to grow over the course of the season.”

The Paton-Churdan girls are also in the Audubon meet and this will be the first meet of the season for the Rockets.
