A registration deadline is coming up later this week for the youngest age group to play a growing sport in Greene County.

The U6 Soccer program with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department will be held on Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm at Kelso Park from April 8th-May 6th. JPRD Assistant Director Nathan Kral says the four and five year olds will learn about fundamentals of the sport and also play games with other teams during each one hour session. The cost to participate is $20 for Greene County Community Center members and $25 for non-members. Kral talks about individuals that want to help be a coach.

“We are always looking for volunteers. I think I need one or two more coaches at this time. And another bonus, if you do help coach we will put a $10 credit on your account here (at the community center).” 

The deadline to register for U6 Soccer is March 31st by contacting the community center in Jefferson at 515-386-3412 or stopping by to sign up.
