Greene County residents with certain ailments can talk to a professional occupational therapist for free in April.
21st Century Rehabilitation at Greene County Medical Center is offering free occupational therapy exams throughout April. Tyler Ommen is an occupational therapist and he says he works with patients to adapt or strengthen a particular part of the body to perform a daily activity with less or no pain. Patients who utilize the occupational therapy service with 21st Century Rehab include repetitive strain injuries, post-surgical hand surgeries, fractures of the hands, Dupuytren’s disease or fasciotomies, chronic swelling, chronic pain, arthritis, lymphedemas, chronic edemas, among others.
The free exam during April includes a consultation with Ommen and discusses problems that a patient is experiencing. If necessary, an assessment can be done and then possibly go over a plan for additional testing and treatment options.
