Friday, March 22nd

5:04am: A deputy, Jefferson Fire Department, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident on Neola Avenue near 265th Street. Natieshka Rosado 20 of Jefferson lost control of a 2008 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle was traveling South on Neola and entered the west ditch striking a power pole. The vehicle was totaled in the accident. The power pole was damaged. Both the driver and the passenger were taken by ambulance to the Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries.

6:21am: The Sheriff investigated a two-vehicle accident on N Avenue near 190th Street. Janice Winborne 34 of Churdan lost control of a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria. Winborne was north bound on N Avenue and struck a parked vehicle on the west shoulder of the roadway. The estimated damage to the crown Victoria is 2,000 dollars. The estimated damage to the 2013 Nissan Frontier is 1,500 dollars.

6:24am: A deputy investigated a single accident on 265th Street near P Avenue. David Clifton 65 of Jefferson lost control of a 2018 Ford F-150 and entered the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.

10:00am: A deputy investigated a complaint of bad check in the 800 block of 220th Street.

10:57am: A deputy investigated a dog running at large complaint in the 300 block of D Avenue.

Saturday, March 23rd

3:33am: William Poio 49 of New York was booked into the jail for operating while under the influence 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:09am: Autumn Lee 23 of Bayard was booked into the jail for 3 counts of theft 4th Degree.

10:56am: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of Church Street, Churdan.

5:05pm: A deputy attempted to locate a wanted person in the 800 block of Percival Street, Grand Junction.

5:35pm: A deputy investigated a dog running at large complaint in the 500 block of South 9th Street, Grand Junction.

5:44pm: A deputy, Greene County Ambulance, and Scranton Fire assisted an Iowa State Trooper with a single vehicle rollover accident on 220th Street near B Avenue.

6:10pm: Kole Higgins 29 of Glidden was booked into the jail for driving while barred, dark window or windshield, and fraudulent use of registration.

6:30pm: A deputy investigated a report of a suspicious person on 220th Street near 16th Street, Grand Junction.

9:08pm: Christa Bluml 39 of Colorado was booked into the jail for operating while under the influence 1st offense and failure to maintain control.

Sunday, March 24th

1:51am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

1:58am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near Orchard Avenue.

2:31am: A deputy investigated a fight in the 200 block of Green Street, Paton.

3:58am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on N Avenue near 160th Street.

11:43am: A deputy arrested Tanya Helmrichs 44 of Grand Junction in the 800 block of Percival Street, Grand Junction. Helmrichs was arrested for an arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense.

12:30pm: Tanya Helmrichs 44 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense.

12:47pm: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 2300 block of E Avenue.

1:52pm: A deputy attempted to locate a subject in Grand Junction with medical issues.

6:20pm: The Sheriff and deputies conducted a search warrant in the 400 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction. Suspected controlled substances were located. Charges are pending lab results.

10:18pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a medical call in the 700 block of North Chestnut Street, Jefferson.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
