This week is Severe Weather Week and the Dallas County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a test tornado drill on Wednesday.
The agency informs Dallas County residents to be aware that Wednesday morning at 10am, they will sound the sirens as a practice for tornado safety. According to the agency, they encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with appropriate safety procedures in their homes. Emergency Management Director AJ Seely hints that having an emergency supply kit can be handy. He details what the kit entails.
“So that includes things like a little bit of food, water that’s on hand just in case. Not related to a natural disaster, a water main break, it’s an easy way to mitigate whatever problem might be happening in our community.”
Seely reminds residents to follow the Dallas County Emergency Management Agency on Facebook as there are many safety tips available. Again, the test tornado drill will be on Wednesday at 10am.
