Less than ideal weather forecast for Monday has prompted school officials to call off the Greene County High School boys’ golf opener. Coach Kyle Kinne’s Rams were to have played Webster City on the home course of the Lynx, but that won’t take place.

Currently, the season opener is set for this Friday at Woodland Hills Golf Course hosted by Saydel (Des Moines). The home opener for the Rams is set for Monday, April 1 at Jefferson Community Golf Course vs. Carroll High.

The Rams return a veteran squad expected to be led by seniors Nathan Behne and Jack Hansen. Both of those young men are going to be busy in the coming weeks as they are also on Greene County’s soccer and track & field squads.
