A reminder that tomorrow will be the first program of 2024 with the Greene County Historical Society. 

Sunday’s program at 2pm at the historical museum in Jefferson will be on the Civil War and Iowa’s role, along with the impacts the war had on the state. Des Moines Area Community College Professor John Liepa will be giving a presentation on the topic and sharing the changing attitudes and events from 1830 to the start of the Civil War and how Iowa played a key role in the conflict. 

There is no registration for the free program on Sunday.
