Iowa Central Community College (Ft. Dodge) freshman pitcher Emma Hoyle from rural Grand Junction, threw six innings of shut out softball in her latest outing on March 14. The Tritons were 8-0 winners in seven innings vs. Kalamazoo Valley (MI) Community College in Melbourne, FL. Hoyle, a 2024 Greene County High School graduate, is the daughter of JJ and Teresa Hoyle, and Emma earned first team All-State honors last summer in leading the Rams to a 22-7 record.

Against Kalamazoo Valley, the right-hander went six innings to improve her pitching record to 4-1. She allowed five hits, no walks, and struck out two batters. The Tritons have won 11 of their last 12 games and are 16-6 on the season.
