Girls’ soccer practice at Greene County High School started last week with a skeleton crew due to Spring Break, but today official practice begins for boys’ soccer, girls and boys’ golf, plus girls’ soccer is expected to have more of a full squad.

There’s not an especially large amount of practice time before the soccer teams start their 2024 seasons. The soccer teams both have scrimmages later this week with the girls hosting West Central Valley on Friday at Linduska Field in Jefferson, and the boys going to Denison on Saturday. The first contests that count on the season record are Tuesday, March 26 for both, with the girls at home in Jefferson vs. Grand View Christian (Des Moines) and the boys playing in Boone.

The golf seasons open later in March and in early April.
