The Perry School District will now return to full days of school for the first time this year following the January 4th tragedy.

The shooting that occurred back in January happened to be on the first day of school for high school students. After nearly a month hiatus, students and staff returned to school on half days. The Perry School Board conducted many meetings, and after hearing feedback from parents and teachers, the board decided on March 18th for being the return date.

Superintendent Clark Wicks says the Elementary School will be from 8:15am-2:50pm, with the middle and high school from 7:55am-2:35pm. He explains that this schedule will be Monday through Friday as the board decided to stop the early dismissal on Wednesdays. Barring any snow days, the final day of school will be on May 29th.
