The Greene County Ducks Unlimited are hosting their banquet and auction later this week.

Co-organizer Dr. Steve Karber says the event will be held on Saturday at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds with a social time to start things off at 5:30pm. Then at 7pm will be the prime rib dinner with Bett and Bevs Barbecue, with the live and silent auctions to follow. Dr. Karber points out there are several items for bid, with 80-85 percent of the proceeds going to conservation programs, and the rest to the national Ducks Unlimited organization.

Karber notes that they have done local conservation projects at Dunbar Slough. Snake Creek, and WIlcox Conservation Area. This year’s project will be a Goose Lake in Carroll with a water structure project. He states that last year they raised over $40,000.

Tickets are $40 per person, which includes a membership, or $60 per couple, and can be purchased by Karber, Steve Carlson, and Bret Kersey, or at the door.
