The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) has announced the contenders for its 7th Annual Pulled Pork Madness, and two businesses from the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area are competing.

Chuckwagon Restaurant in Adair and Bett and Bev’s BBQ in Jefferson are both in for the 2024 competition, and are facing each other in the first round. The two restaurants are the representatives of the 6th District out of eight. According to the IPPA, just making it to this point is impressive, as they received 850 nominations for almost 70 Iowa restaurants, with the seeding being based on the two businesses with the most votes in each district. By going to the IPPA Facebook page or the Pulled Pork Madness website, the public can vote for their favorite eatery, with all votes needing to be in by 10am Friday.
