The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved a liquor license for The Little Country Store on the Hill, and heard a department head update from Health Services Director Jotham Arber. Arber discussed a plan to rework the Public Health building to make a better environment for mental health appointments. He added that at the next Board of Health meeting he would be bringing forth an ordinance proposal pertaining to dogs that are multiple offenders of biting individuals on land not belonging to the dog’s owners.
The Board then discussed departmental salaries with County Attorney Dana Minteer for her staff, and tabled a decision until Minteer brought forward more information for comparison to similar sized counties. They also approved a 3.5 percent increase in salaries for elected officials of the county for the next fiscal year in a 3-2 vote, with Supervisors JD Kuster and Mike Dickson wanting to go with an increase of four percent, before canceling the March 14th meeting.
