The expectations are high for a Perry soccer team who reached the final 8 last year.  Coach Overla says “our goal is to win our conference and do well enough to make it to State.”

The Bluejays accomplished one of those goals last year as they made it to the State tournament, but they would finish third in the Heart of Iowa Conference.  Coach Overla is excited with the returners he has back.  Omar Jaimes, Jonathan Barrios-Munoz, Israel Soto-Rojas, Jacobo Cerna-Gomez, Sergio Sanchez, Luis Castro, and Jonatan Banuelos all return and look to have expanded roles this year.

Perry opens the season in Des Moines on March 30th in the Des Moines Hoover tournament.  They will play the host and Des Moines North that day.
