A Redfield man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into two neighboring homes in the area, while also attacking two people at his residence on Monday.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Ethan Libby entered two separate residences in the 1600 block of Thomas Street in Redfield without permission. The first home was perpetrated shortly after 6:30pm with people inside. According to the documents, Libby was in possession of a dangerous weapon as he made threats to harm a victim.
Court documents note that later on the second burglary attempt was made to another home in the 1600 block of Thomas Street with people inside but Libby was not in possession of a dangerous weapon. Libby also assaulted two other victims inside his home in the 1600 block of Taylor Street. During the investigation, injuries to the victim supported the claim that they were physically assaulted.
Libby has been charged with first degree burglary, a Class B Felony; second degree burglary , a Class C Felony; first degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor; domestic abuse assault impeding flow of air/blood, an aggravated misdemeanor; and second offense for domestic abuse assault, an aggravated misdemeanor. Libby is being held in the Dallas County Jail under a $25,000 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
