Four individuals on the AC/GC Chargers boys basketball team were named as West Central Activities Conference selections for their performance during the season.
Junior Noah Kading was named to the Conference 1st team, leading the Chargers in field goal percentage at 47.2%. He averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He also averaged 4.6 assists, the 3rd highest in conference, a 3.79 assist to turnover ratio, 2nd in conference and a Top 10 athlete for Class 1A, 1.1 blocks for 5th in conference and 3.8 free throw attempts per game, setting him at 10th in conference.
Senior Lance Bunde was named to the Conference 2nd team, as the 2nd on the Chargers for field goal percentage at 46%, led the team in 3 point percentage at 37.3%, and averaged 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. He also averaged a 1.65 assist to turnover ratio, 2 steals and 0.8 blocks, marking him at 10th in conference for all three statistics.
Juniors Jathan South and Payton Policky were both selected as honorable mentions for the 2023-24 season. South had a 45.1% field goal percentage, averaging 15.4 points per game, which was 10th in conference and first on the Chargers, 4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, a 1.09 assist to turnover ratio, 1.75 steals and 0.7 blocks. Policky had a 45.2% field goal percentage, averaging 10.5 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, which put him at 3rd in conference, 1.2 assists and 1.3 steals.
