For the June 2nd, 2024 Primary Elections, the filing period is fast approaching.

Filing begins Monday and ends on March 22nd at 5pm. For Guthrie County, the seats up for election are Supervisor Districts 2 and 5, County Auditor and County Sheriff. For Adair County, the seats on the ballot are Supervisor Districts 1, 3 and 5, County Sheriff, County Auditor and County Recorder to fill a vacancy. For Supervisor offices in both counties, candidates must have at least 21 signatures from eligible voters in their district. For the offices of Auditor, Sheriff and Recorder, candidates must collect 50 signatures from eligible voters. All positions must also be US citizens, and a registered voter in the county (and district for Supervisors) that they live in. Papers must be filed with the Auditor’s Office, again, with a deadline of March 22nd at 5pm.
