Saturday was the Iowa High School Speech Association’s Individual Events District Contest, and the high schools in Guthrie County were well represented.
Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center had students participate in 19 events, with nine receiving a District I Rating and advancing to the State Contest. Students from Panorama took part in eight events, and all of them will be moving on, having received Division I Ratings, while of West Central Valley’s two competitors, one will advance to the state Contest. A list of students and the events they competed in can be found in this story online. The IHSSA State Contest will take place March 9th at Adel-De Soto-Minburn High School in Adel.
