The busiest Winter for high school sports for the Greene County Rams is over, and an active Spring season is about to begin.

For the first time the Rams fielded girls and boys bowling teams, along with boys’ basketball and wrestling, and girls’ basketball. The Rams turned in winning seasons in wrestling and boys’ bowling.

Track & field practice has begun for the Rams and the unusually mild February weather allowed for the girls and boys squads to get on the Linduska Field track at least some last week. The boys’ soccer team returns a number of starters from the Class 2A State qualifying team from a season ago. The girls’ soccer team also returns a healthy amount of varsity experience, as does the boys’ golf team. Official practice for soccer and golf doesn’t start until March 11.
