Junior Zach Teague returns to action on the West Central Valley Wildcat boys track & field team to throw discus. Teague threw the discus for a personal best of 110 feet last season, and placed 3rd at the Woodward-Granger Hawk relays throwing the discus 109 feet. At the Merrit-Charger Invitational, Teague ran into more competition within the throwing circle, placing 17th in total throwing 105 feet. With this being Teague’s junior year, he still has two more years to grow as a Wildcat. As a freshmen, Teague’s farthest throw was 106 feet and has already proved that his average range per throw has increased. Teague and the Wildcat boys will have their first meet on March 26th at Earlham High School where they will compete with: ADM, Clear Lake, Earlham, Greene County, Madrid, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Mount Ayr, Panorama, Perry, St. Edmond, and Van Meter.
