A reminder that Greene County and Paton-Churdan students are competing today at the Iowa High School Speech Association District Individual Contest.
Greene County Speech Coach Kelley Gray says 13 students are representing 17 entries, with categories such as musical theater, reviewing, prose, original oratory, literary program, after dinner speaking, radio news, acting and storytelling. Paton-Churdan Speech Coach Nicole Freiss-Schilling says seven students are competing in five categories, including musical theater, prose, poetry, storytelling and improv.
Both schools are at Waukee Northwest High School today. In order to advance to the state contest, a student must get a Division I-rating from the room judge. See the full list below of the students and what they are performing in for districts.
