The City of Perry is busy working on several projects in the area, and one city official specifically details a newer project in the works on Willis Avenue.

Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson mentions that a project that was bid this week through the Iowa Department of Transportation concerns Willis Avenue in Perry. He comments that parts of Willis Avenue will receive attention.

“From about 17th Street to West 3rd, all of that Willis (Avenue) portion is going to get overlaid and some other improvements in that corridor.”

Peterson expresses his excitement about the project because he says it will be good to smooth that portion of Willis Avenue out. This project, alongside the Frog Creek Restoration, Iowa Street Stormwater Wetland, and designated street repairs are the four major projects that Peterson is looking forward to being completed this year.
