Wednesday, February 21st

8:01am: A caller reported a vehicle was having issues maintaining its own lane on 237th Street, heading into Jefferson on Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the reported vehicle in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the road. The officer performed a Traffic Stop on the vehicle. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Paige Denice Hedgpeth, 27 of Grand Junction, for OWI 1st Offense – Serious. There were two young children in the vehicle with Hedgpeth. She was also charged with 2 Counts of, “Child Endangerment – Aggravated.” She was also cited for, “Driving on Wrong Side of the Road.”

1:27pm: Geri Gettler reported receiving a Scam Phone Call. She recognized the call as a Scam and did not provide the caller any information.

2:48pm: Oly’s Corner requested an officer at 208 West Lincoln Way Street for a reported Shoplifting. The officer arrived and spoke to a male juvenile. He had taken an ice cream product valued at $5.99. The officer took custody of the juvenile and transported him to the jail to be picked up by his father. A Juvenile Charge of “Theft 5th Degree” is being sent to the Juvenile Court.

4:17pm: Angie Hueser reported juveniles on the roof of a building in the 100 Block of East Lincoln Way Street, setting off fireworks. The came down from the building and continued to light fireworks in the alley. The youths had left the area before the officer arrived.
