Feb. 19

Dorothy Harkrader, Adel, was stopped at the intersection of R Ave and Hwy 6, waiting to enter Hwy 6 when a car driven by Melinda Enderton, Van Meter, bumped into the back of Ms. Harkrader’s car.  No injuries were reported and damage to Ms. Harkrader’s car was estimated at $3000.  Damage to Ms. Enderton’s car was estimated at $3000.  Ms. Ederton was issued a citation for Failure To Stop in Assured Clear Distance.

Feb. 20

Kaitlyn Hess, Stuart, was driving in the 35000 block of Old Hwy 6 when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $1500.

Darold Baker, age 28, 221 Dallas St, De Soto, was arrested for 2 counts of Possession Of A Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

Samuel Zarate, age 26, 5703 Vista Dr, West Des Moines, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence and Possession Or Carrying Of Dangerous Weapon While Intoxicated.

Feb. 21

Maxime Saintil, Orlando, FL, was driving in the 136 mile marker of Hwy 141 when it appears he fell asleep.  He crossed into oncoming traffic and then into a fence line.  He was taken to the hospital by EMS. The vehicle was towed.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
