Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball will be looking to seize an opportunity tonight, as the Mustangs will be looking to make their 4th consecutive trip to the state tournament when they welcome Pella Dutch basketball to town. DCG comes into the game at 19-3 and Pella comes in at 16-6.

The one seed Mustangs were able to defeat Knoxville 56-44 on Saturday night while the two seed Dutch won 62-58 over the Ballard Bombers. The two conference foes have already played twice in the month of February with DCG winning two competitive games 54-50 in Grimes and 47-38 in Pella.

DCG has won ten straight in the series with the last Pella victory coming in the 2018-19 season.

The Mustangs will be looking to slow down the attack of a solid Pella offense has averages 57 points per game, find turnovers, and embrace the survive and advance mentality of postseason basketball.

DCG will host the regional final for a 4th straight time, defeating Creston 50-28 in 2020-21, Adel-DeSoto-Minburn 56-34 in 2021-22, and Humboldt 65-36 in 2022-23.
