In today’s world, there are potential obstacles when it comes to starting a new business.

Matt McDevitt is an Assistant Vice President Business Banker at Raccoon Valley Bank, who lays out the potential obstacles in the way in today’s world when it comes to starting a business.

In a conversation with Raccoon Valley Radio, Raccoon Valley Bank Assistant Vice President Business Banker Matt McDevitt encourages using local resources and recognizes the immediacy of services like Amazon that can deliver to a customer’s door promptly, but also explains how that can hurt new startup businesses.

“And while that’s great, the problem with that then is then if we are not buying our things locally, and not supporting our local businesses, then those businesses will not succeed. And so, without us driving a lot of new people to our community to be able to experience that for themselves.”

McDevitt implores residents to support the local businesses, because they’re the ones that invest in local projects and activities.
