A Grand Junction man was recently sentenced to jail for an October incident.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Alex Treft pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for driving while barred. He was sentenced to 20 days in the Greene County Jail, which was to be served consecutively with a four day jail sentence for a probation revocation conviction.

The aggravated misdemeanor charge stemmed from an all-terrain vehicle crash on October 22nd. Treft was operating the ATV when he lost control at 14th and Main Streets in Grand Junction and hit a tree. Treft suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Greene County Medical Center. Once he was treated and released, Treft was arrested for driving the ATV with a barred license.

Treft was also ordered to pay over $750 for court costs and court appointed attorney fees.
