Iowa’s Third Congressional District Congressman Zach Nunn is trying to replicate practices he’s implemented in the state to Washington D.C. in the House.

Congressman Nunn tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the first bill he proposed was a Balanced Budget Amendment to hold D.C. accountable. Nunn explains that Iowa has done right by the budget the last eight years by cutting taxes, giving money back to citizens, and growing the economy. However, Nunn comments on a bill that is almost completed in the House.

“We’ve got 90% of the Appropriations Bill done, which is something that hasn’t happened in D.C. in over 10 years.”

Nunn says that some Republicans and Democrats are delaying the final 10% due to having specific interests they don’t want to vote on. He is optimistic because he notes that real progress is being made to federal spending in the 90% approval.
