It’s the postseason tonight for the Paton-Churdan girls’ basketball team. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rockets have a third meeting with Rolling Valley Activities Conference opponent Coon Rapids-Bayard, this time in the opening round of Class 1A Region 2. The 0-20 Rockets have lost twice to the 17-3 Crusaders this season in conference play. The winner meets either GMG (Garwin) or Belle Plaine on Feb. 13.

The P-C boys are 1-18 and will host Woodward Academy (2-14) at 7 p.m. Friday in a play-in game in Churdan in 1A District 15. The winner will advance to face number one seed Madrid at Madrid on Monday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.
