Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball found out about their 4A postseason fate on Wednesday afternoon, finding out that they are the number 1 seed in Class 4A – region 4 play.

The Mustangs will have a bye in the first round before having a home game in the semifinals between either the Knoxville Panthers or the Perry Bluejays. That game will be on Saturday, February 17th with the tip time to be at 7 pm. If they’re able to win, they would then get another home game against either Pella, Newton, or Ballard. DCG has played all three of those schools this season and secured the victory.

DCG is 17-3 and winners of seven straight, and have already secured the Little Hawkeye Conference championship for a 4th consecutive year.

DCG will have one more regular season game tomorrow at Pella. The game is at 6:15 and can be heard on the KDLS2 stream.
