The West Central Valley Wildcats hosted the Woodward-Granger Hawks resulting in the girls losing in a contest that went neck and neck, but the Hawks prevailed by 4, 40-36. The Wildcats stayed close to the Hawks throughout the entire contest, and were only down by 2 in the first. With the score 13-11, the Wildcats would be held to only 4 points in the second quarter, which would be the deciding factor in this contest. The Wildcats would bounce back in the third, outsourcing the Hawks, 13-6 which would put the Wildcats within 2 going into the fourth quarter. With the score at 30-28, the Wildcats continued to battle but just fell short to the Hawks, 40-36.
With this loss the Wildcat girls fall to a perfect 500, 10-10 and prepare to travel to Colfax-Mingo on Thursday.
