After winter weather canceled the first Meet Your Legislator event of the year at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County in Jefferson, the next one is this Saturday.

February’s Meet Your Legislator featuring District 24 Senator Jesse Green (R-Boone) and House District 47 Representative Carter Nordman (R-Panora) will be at the Welcome Center at 10am on Saturday. Nordman explains the importance of having events like Meet Your Legislator.

“As always, I do my job better when I hear directly from my constituents, that’s why we do these (legislative) coffees. I answer my own email, I take my own phone calls, so the more I can hear from constituents, regardless of what the issue is, the better job I can do as your legislator.”

Meet Your Legislator is free and open to the public starting at 10am on Saturday. These programs are scheduled for the second Saturday of March and April.
