Perry junior guard Taryn Nehring has become a solid offensive weapon over the past few games giving the Jayettes another scoring threat in a season in which consistent offense has been difficult at times.  The speedy guard is coming off a career high 16 point effort Tuesday night in the win against Greene County.   Nehring connected on 7-12 from the floor including 3-8 from 3-point land, along with using her athleticism and speed to secure a number of transition hoops along the way.

Nehring has raised her season scoring average to nearly 7 points per game after a quiet start to the season.  She is shooting 32% from the floor.  Nehring has scored the majority of her points in conference play, tallying a team high 91 points in the 13 conference games.

Nehring will try to keep her scoring touch rolling tomorrow night when Perry travels north to Webster City to take on the Lynx.

The Jayettes open up regional play next Wednesday night at Knoxville.
