Perry senior wrestler Keegan Snyder celebrated his 100th career victory last week in Perry’s first home activity since the January 4th shooting.  Snyder’s fall early in the second period over Roland Story’s Jaxson Kadolph sent the Perry Sports Pavilion into a energetic celebration.  Ironically, Snyder pinned Kadolph a few days earlier in the Heart of Iowa Conference championship match.

Snyder improved his season record to 32-3 and will set his sights on another state tournament berth this weekend in Atlantic.  The Bluejays will send a strong contingency of wrestlers to the Class 2a Regional.  Freshman Townes Wilson has been impressive in his inaugural season, posting 26 victories while senior Kain Killmer and Kevin Colin have scored consistent points for the Bluejays in the upper weights.  Killmer leads the team with a 33-3 record while Colin is 26-10.  Junior Ben Kusar has an impressive 15-3 mark at 138.

KDLS will have live reports from Atlantic this Saturday as we track our area wrestlers to the state tournament next week in Des Moines.
