The Perry Police Department has investigated alleged threats made against the Perry School District to be not creditable.
Assistant Police Chief Jim Archer said on Saturday they received several reports from parents and students that a student made a threat to the school district that was supposed to happen on Monday. Then another student made a post on social media that was also concerning.
Archer explained that they have investigated these matters and deemed them not credible. The police department has been working with the Perry School District administration and kept them informed as the investigation was happening. Archer added that officers will continue to have a presence at each of the school buildings.
