Today is the 47th Annual Bike Ride to Rippey and a reminder for the small Greene County community that there will be lots of bicyclists traveling in and out of town today.

Rippey resident Nancy Hanaman is one of the volunteer organizers and says there’s lots of food fundraisers happening in Rippey today. The Rippey Lions Club is serving its roast beef sundaes, including mashed potatoes, roast beef, gravy and a cherry tomato on top, along with large dessert bars, chili and beverages in the community room of the Rippey Public Library and Community Building. 

The Rippey United Methodist Church and the Rippey Baseball Commission are teaming up to serve a baked potato bar, with a variety of toppings; desserts and beverages at the church. Finally, the Thirsty Pig will have a beer tent on Main Street, across from the library. Hanaman adds the food will be ready to serve at 10am with minimal charges as fundraisers for the different organizations.
