Elderserve donation

One organization in Jefferson has been in the giving mood as they continue to support other entities in the community.

Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306 recently presented three grants to organizations that serve Greene County. Elderserve Agency on Aging (Congregate Meals) and the local food pantry, the Greene County Action Resource Center; each received $3,250 from the merging Beacon and Gratitude grants with the Elks National Foundation. Additionally, the Jefferson Elks also gave $2,000 to the Greene County School District in support of the school lunch program. The $2,000 was from an Impact Grant that was also through the Elks National Foundation.
