Good news for the Raccoon Valley Radio area in terms of improved drought conditions this past week.

According to the US Drought Monitor, all of Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties are in a severe drought, which is an improvement compared to the week before when parts of all three counties were in an extreme drought. This is due mostly to the melting snowfall with the warmer temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain in the upper 40s to lower 50s through next week and there is no chance of precipitation until Thursday.
