The Perry School District is fully back in session since the January 4th shooting at the high school, and the School Board approved hiring support administrators for the months ahead.
The Perry School District recently announced adding five support administrators, who will be assisting the Perry staff members and students going forward. The support administrators have been split off to serve in the elementary, middle and high school. The administrators are as follows: Tom Lipovac, Mandy Ross, Randy Martin, Jill Anderson, and Scott Grimes.
According to the Perry School District, Lipovac has over 40 years of experience in education, spending much of his time in the Perry School District as a teacher and activities director. Lipovac is helping the Activities Director position on a part-time basis.
Dr. Ross has over 40 years of experience as a public educator, noting that she taught 13 years between Saydel and Ankeny, with her first administrative position as a Principal at Perry Elementary. Ross’s temporary position is assisting at the elementary school.
Dr. Martin has also spent over 40 years in education. According to the school district, Martin retired as the Principal of South Central Calhoun last year. Martin is at the middle school.
The fourth support administrator is Jill Anderson, who has over 30 years of experience, mostly serving in the Sioux Center and Norwalk districts. The Perry School District explains that Anderson will be at high school.
The final support administrator hired by Perry Public Schools is Scott Grimes. He has experience ranging over three decades, spending the last 12 years as the Dallas Center-Grimes Superintendent. Grimes is helping out at the high school.
