Reese Baxter is one of the nine girls on the Raccoon River Wrestling team, who is looking forward to competing at her debut state tournament.

The Girls State Wrestling Tournament will be happening tomorrow and Friday in Coralville, beginning at 10am. A total of 22 athletes will be competing in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area and nine of them will be from the Raccoon River Wrestling team, consisting of Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, Waukee, Waukee Northwest, and Van Meter. Reese Baxter is a Perry, IA native and this her first time qualifying to compete at state. Baxter shares what she’s most anticipating at the tournament.

“I’m just looking forward to all the girls there, and just everyone getting excited to wrestle.”
