Due to postponements earlier this month, the varsity basketball teams from Greene County start a stretch of games tonight that has them scheduled to play six times in the next nine days. That begins tonight with a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference girl/boy doubleheader in Jefferson vs. PCM (Monroe). Both games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on wwwracconvalleyradio.com with coverage at 5:45 p.m. The girls play at 6 o’clock and the boys will follow.
The PCM girls are 13-4 overall and 8-2 in the conference while the Rams are 0-15, 0-9. The Rams have gotten a boost from sophomore transfer Becca Anderson in the two games she played in over the weekend since becoming eligible for varsity competition. Anderson scored 20 and 16 points at Nevada and Manson on Friday and Saturday.
The PCM boys are 8-8 on the season and 5-5 in HOIAC games. The Rams are 1-14 and 1-8.
The Rams play in State Center tomorrow night vs. West Marshall before hosting Saydel (Des Moines) on Friday night and Perry on Saturday afternoon in the last two home dates of the season. All those games will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
